-While viewing the full blog, not just a post, comments can be either viewed in a new window or a pop-up. Both of the cases require:  switching your attention to another view.. hate it. … why why why ? Why wud anyone o
Google must allow users to make them as javascript links and must retrieve comments right there using Ajax or something else. Why the hell is Ajax for ?

-Templates generally don’t fit whole screen. And,even if you make them do that, display will be different in case of different screen widths. If you made your template on a 17 inch monitor, you will find that user will have to scroll horizontally on a 15 inches one while viewing your blog. Also, if someone has different resolution, it might not look good. They must add some more features and make it customizable. I am sure that, this is doable.

-Templates sucks.. ..Integrate with wordpress :) Allow people to post directly from Desktop :P

-Preview in it ofcourse sucks .. Same as is the case with Wysiwyg editor ..

in Google Reader : Lots and lots of them .. I probably won’t be able to recollect all of them..
-DOES NOT DETECTS DUPLICATE ENTRIES… It is highly probable that you visit a blog and if you like it, you will add it to the reader which probably is already there in your reader. Reader doesn’t tells that you are already subscribed to these feeds.. So, sometimes I end up having multiple entries for many of feeds….
-Even though both reader and blogger are Google products, why the hell I am not allowed to comment directly from the reader… Highly irritating. Most of the times I end up not commenting to posts I feel like writing something to..
-Does not recognizes background/text color of Posts/Blog. So, if someone uses Black as background color and White on it to write, you will end up viewing just the title of the post in the reader.

So, to read it I have to select the text and read it :D :( . As in,

Unfortunately all feed readers remove some tags which they contain as harmful while sanitizing the html for the reader.. and that includes tags like meta,applet,onload,unload,script(so essentially all javascript will be removed), style etc. I don’t know why the hell they strip off the style tag. And probably, this is the reason why blogs with light colors do not get rendered in the way, they should. And yeah, if they strips off the style tag, how does white colors come as white as style information is lost, unless and until it is defined in some other tag which I don’t think will be the case ? .. No idea. will look into it someday :)

-Email tab does not opens in a way it should. Why scroll to press the “Send” Button ???

- Lots of other minor stuffs..

I know that this should be posted in some mailing-list rather than here.. will do that later :).. I did post something like ranking of feeds in Reader, so that on the main page you would get only those feeds which you have ranked higher etc. etc.. but I think no-one is even looking at it..:(

Ikiwiki is a wiki compiler. It converts wiki pages into HTML pages suitable for publishing on a website. You can read more about it here.

As a part of Google Summer of Code, I have implemented the initial version of the Gallery Plugin for Ikiwiki. I am using one similar version here. This plugin is implemented using Lighbox2.03. The plugin creates a nice looking gallery of the images, once the directory of images is specified. I would soon be adding features to display meta contents of images also.

Gallery Plugin can be downloaded from here.

Details about the files :
gallery.tmpl and page.tmpl => Template files which have to be put in template directory.
gallery.pm => Plugin File to be put into the Plugins directory.
Rest all files and folders are javascripts for creation of gallery which have to be put in base directory.

Plugin can be used as =>
[gallery imagedir="images" thumbnailsize="200x200" cols="3" alt="Can not be displayed" title="My Pictures"]

where-
- imagedir => Directory containing images. It will scan all the files with jpg|png|gif extension from the directory and will put it in the gallery.
- thumbnailsize => Size of the thumbnail that you want to generate for the gallery.
- alt => If image can not be displayed, it will display the text contained in alt argument.
- cols => Number of columns of thumbnails that you want to generate.
- title => Title of the gallery.

Features of the Gallery Plugin:
- You can go the next image by clicking on the right side of the image or by pressing ‘n’.
- Similary, you can go the previous image by clicking on the left side of the image or by pressing ‘p’.
- Press esc to close the gallery.
- While on image, nearby images are preloaded in the background, so as to make the browsing fast.

Right now, it features only one template namely lightbox. Lightbox can be downloaded from http://www.huddletogether.com. Later on, I will add few more templates.
