Phone Rings… I pick up.

Random Caller(Rc): Hi May I speak to Arpit Jain ?

Me: Yeah. This is Arpit speaking.

RC: I am calling from Jyoti Vidyapeeth, Jaipur ? (Should I strike through the name ? )

Me: Okay Miss. So, How can I help you ?

RC: You have applied here.

Me(interrupting her): Applied ? For What ?

RC: For B. Tech ..

Me(Again interrupting): Why would I apply for B.Tech ? I have already completed my B. Tech.

Rc: Yes I know that. I was saying that you have done your B. Tech. and you have applied for becoming a lecturer in Computer Science in our institute….

Me: What ?? Why would I ?? Wait wait… .Which institute again ??

Rc: Jyoti Vidyapeeth .. (and something which I don’t understand)

Me: Wait a minute.

Me(To Dad): Papa, have you heard of any Jyoti Vidyapeeth Institute ?

Dad: Beta, suna toh hai, shaayad Ajmeri gate ke paas hai kahi par.

RC: Yes. Yes. Right. The same near Ajmeri Gate.

Me : Okay. But, I don’t think I have applied. Did I apply online ?

Rc: No Arpit. You have posted your details to us. Your resume is in my front and that’s why I have called you.

Me: I think there is some mistake and somebody else has posted the wrong Resume. Can you tell me the address from which this application was posted ? It should be somewhere on the back of envelope.

Rc: Sorry, but I don’t have envelope. I just have your resume.

Me: Ohh. I am sorry but I don’t think I have applied to your institute. Probably someone else sent the wrong Resume.

Rc: So you are not at all interested for this post ?

Me: No. And I will appreciate it if you can somehow let me know that from which address this was posted and I am sorry for inconvenience this might have caused you.

Rc: Okay. I will. Bye

Me: Okay Bye.

PS: Please people, stop playing pranks with me.
