Is this the end of all things or is it just the new beginning ?

Whenever in misery, don’t watch F.R.I.E.N.D.S, watch House. Not your House damn it, watch the series “House”. Watching friends won’t help as every second you will feel like you are being mocked. That butt-faced Chandler(Huh!) would laugh at your face and will mock as if you are his chicken(Whaever that means?). “House” can get you out of the misery because you will get to know how to live when you are in misery.

Few other helpers:

Try finding some stones and throwing them real hard on the floor and watch them shatter into pieces.
Caution: Be careful. Watch your toe, it might hurt a lot otherwise. For some people, hurting the toe might help as pain is another way to get out of misery or overlook it. Well, I am not an expert in handling pain, so in my case it only increased my misery.

If you can’t find stones, get your cellphone and throw it real hard(Not on bed damn it. On the floooooooor).
Caution Again: Take out the SIM. You might need it later to talk to your family.

And if that doesn’t help even, grab your laptop and repeat the step. This might help a lot. And well in this case, you might first like to try throwing it on bed.
Caution: Just check for enough money in your pockets or in your parent pockets to get you a new one.

If you have a bike (the one with a motor in it, not the one which I have), get on it and drive real fast.. as fast as you can.. and just try to forget everything. Hitting a bus would be an add-on, just like the free stuff you get on Christmas shopping.

Find a person who you really hate. If you can’t find the person find a picture of him in your laptop(In case you did’t break it yet). If you can’t find that even, draw a picture of him. Assuming that everyone is not a good artist, right his name below the sketch so as to allow you to imagine him. Now start bashing at him real bad. Say all the injectives you can.. Say all the bad things you can. Beat the hell out of him and then rest in peace.

Find a puppy and kick him … (That’s actually jaddas way of making himself happy).
Caution: Don’t do that if its parents are around.

Find a dead snake/frog and press its body(or whatever you call it) to bring out all it ate during its lifetime…

Drinking and/or Smoking might also help. I tried drinking…. a lot…. a lot of water, but it didn’t help. Smoking I couldn’t try as I promised someone that I will not. Damn it. I am God of false promises. If they had the record of the number of promises broken I would feature on the front page of Guiness Book.

Get a Haircut.

Actually I don’t have hammer and nails, so it wasn’t possible for me to go with old father-son hammer-nails story of breaking anger(misery induces anger, if your brain by any chance thought that I got off the topic) and I didn’t even have the tempo to take out the stuck nails from the tree. See, I have a history of not completing the job I am allotted. So, nails would anyway won’t get out and tree would have to live in pain for its entire life, ofcourse, if some other miser moron finds the poor tree and takes the nails out.

The Tao Of Forgiveness

One day, the sage gave the disciple an empty sack and a basket of
potatoes. “Think of all the people who have done or said something
against you in the recent past, especially those you cannot forgive.
For each of them, inscribe the name on a potato and put it in the
sack.”

The disciple came up quite a few names, and soon his sack was heavy
with potatoes.

“Carry the sack with you wherever you go for a week,” said the
sage. “We’ll talk after that.”

At first, the disciple thought nothing of it. Carrying the sack was
not particularly difficult. But after a while, it became more of a
burden. It sometimes got in the way, and it seemed to require more
effort to carry as time went on, even though its weight remained the
same.

After a few days, the sack began to smell. The carved potatoes gave
off a ripe odor. Not only were they increasingly inconvenient to
carry around, they were also becoming rather unpleasant.

Finally, the week was over. The sage summoned the disciple. “Any
thoughts about all this?”

“Yes, Master,” the disciple replied. “When we are unable to forgive
others, we carry negative feelings with us everywhere, much like
these potatoes. That negativity becomes a burden to us and, after a
while, it festers.”

“Yes, that is exactly what happens when one holds a grudge. So, how
can we lighten the load?”

“We must strive to forgive.”

“Forgiving someone is the equivalent of removing the corresponding
potato from the sack. How many of your transgressors are you able to
forgive?”

“I’ve thought about it quite a bit, Master,” the disciple said. “It
required much effort, but I have decided to forgive all of them.”

“Very well, we can remove all the potatoes. Were there any more
people who transgressed against you this last week?”

The disciple thought for a while and admitted there were. Then he
felt panic when he realized his empty sack was about to get filled
up again.

“Master,” he asked, “if we continue like this, wouldn’t there always
be potatoes in the sack week after week?”

“Yes, as long as people speak or act against you in some way, you
will always have potatoes.”

“But Master, we can never control what others do. So what good is
the Tao in this case?”

“We’re not at the realm of the Tao yet. Everything we have talked
about so far is the conventional approach to forgiveness. It is the
same thing that many philosophies and most religions preach – we
must constantly strive to forgive, for it is an important virtue.
This is not the Tao because there is no striving in the Tao.”

“Then what is the Tao, Master?”

“You can figure it out. If the potatoes are negative feelings, then
what is the sack?”

“The sack is… that which allows me to hold on to the negativity.
It is something within us that makes us dwell on feeling
offended…. Ah, it is my inflated sense of self-importance. “

“And what will happen if you let go of it?”

“Then… the things that people do or say against me no longer seem
like such a major issue.”

“In that case, you won’t have any names to inscribe on potatoes.
That means no more weight to carry around, and no more bad smells.
The Tao of forgiveness is the conscious decision to not just to
remove some potatoes… but to relinquish the entire sack.”

I hate it when I couldn’t take up the call for which I waited for more than a year.

It could be because of me being busy or because of not finding a proper place to talk.

Though I talked for 7 minutes 49 seconds, I think that was not even a bit for the call much awaited for.

Anyway, I promise right away if next time such a call comes, I will be available.

One addition to the list of very few things which I regret.

wtf is this ? .. Why the hell do they even allow such dumb students to enter in IIT ?

the day yesterday was…

a frnd of mine told me that thr is one particular ad of reema laagoo featured in dd1, in which she acts quite repulsively doing all those stuff which you can never expect from her..
while searching for the ad I found out that just like gmail search in youtube sucks too .. it only search for full words…
So as ad was featured as “laxmi chachi ad” , i searched for “laxmi chachi ad” .. then “laxmi chachi” only to be disappointed.. no results :( .. tried few more searches with different spellings of both laxmi and chachi and thr combinations .. again with not getting what i was looking for ..

then i tried search on vtap, a video search engine by veveo(company i interned in ), and thr u go as soon as i typed “lax cha ad” , i got the video i was looking for .. .. (well this is not the only thing vtap is good for…it even categorizes videos quite well .. just search for anything you will automatically find it out)..
i have no idea why youtube or any video uploading sites does not have incremental search .. it is highly highly useful… forget incremental search .. youtube doesnt even search for part words.. .. like it didn’t search for “laxmi chachi” because the name of the ad was “laxmi chachi’s” .. sucking…

Anyway, we finally came up with the name of our company after tons of naming sessions :) Later on Papa said that today is the best day to do that.. Aaj GuruPukh hai :) .. :)

Took the Final decision of not sitting in placements this year.. so one tension off my mind, though giving way to lot others ..

My laptop is back. :) .. posting from it after a long time.. :) .. Now, I can have videos running on one side without blocking my “work view”.

SSHFS rocks :) .. Whether i work on my PC or on my laptop, it’s no different for me..same directory structure in both. :) No need to do ssh, every time I open a new shell, as sshfs mounts remote files. :) .. I am loving it :)
